Do anal herpes present as anal fissures or tears?
Or what does anal herpes look like?

I've found misleading info that said anal herpes can present as a fissure, but when you google pictures of anal herpes they look like the classic sores that look like canker sores.

No that sounds like a fissure/hemorrhoid. Herpes are usually crater like slits that will not typically bleed.

Yes, the anal fissure bleeds when I have a bowel movement and is a little itchy after. But if I don't have any bowel movements, then it doesn't bother me. Does this sound like herpes?

To have just an anal fissure represents an extremely unlikely diagnosis of HSV. An anal fissure is just that and has many causes.

I'm sorry, I do not understand what you mean by "reverse diagnose". Could you clarify?

Please keep to one post.

Fissures are a rarer presentation of herpes but do happen. However an anal fissure should be interpreted as that, a fissure that occurs for a variety of reasons. You cannot reverse diagnose herpes from a fissure as the odds are too small.

It is unlikely that you have a genital HSV infection.
