Hello,
I have recently received an Igm result of 1.6, but negative Igg type-specific results. They did not give me actual numbers for the Igg, only <.91 - negative as a result. My physician's office says that this means I was exposed to the virus recently, but my boyfriend whom I have been with since December tested negative on the Igm and Igg results. I had an unprotected encounter in early October that does cause me concern, however this encounter was 21 weeks prior to receiving these test results. What is your interpretation? Should I still be concerned? I have read a lot about the Igm being unreliable but it still scares me. Another possible complicating factor is that I have SLE and in January both my ANA and anti-double-stranded DNA were positive. I think the ANA was like 1:320 (I may not have that exact, 300 something).
What is your opinion?
Thank you,
