and you've had no obvious genital symptoms that sound herpes related to think your hsv1 is genital.
Right, but I've had previous oral sex encounters (6 months prior).
you were never at risk for herpes - either type - from the encounter in question.
Had a full battery of blood tests. Definitely had mono. HSV1 came back 2.1... the hsv1 score is sometimes negative, sometimes low positive for me. Any chance aome of the symptoms could have been HSV1 (no real outbreak down there)
herpes is not the only infection out there. follow up regularly with your medical providers as needed for symptoms to find out what is going on.
Thanks Grace... Whatever it is keeps attacking me in the same way periodically. That's the concern. I'll take both of your advice, though, and stop thinking about it.
you already asked Dr Hook this question and he already told you herpes isn't the cause for it. You didn't have sex and you had your boxers on so the encounter you are concerned about , was never a risk for herpes.
Continue to follow up with your provider as needed. You don't need any herpes antivirals. STOP THINKING STD'S AS A CAUSE OF YOUR SYMPTOMS!!

And if you don't think it's HSV, where do I even start? I'm scared, so scared.
