is it possible for herpes symptoms to appear?
so I've been with guy a since January but we split for a month in march when I was with guy b. I got back with guy a soon after and have been with him since. I have never showed any symptoms of herpes ever. Three days after having sex with guy a I began to show symptoms and went to the doctors and was diagnosed with genital herpes. guy a had all the girls he had been with recently tested and they all came back negative, he is getting tested next week. is it possible to have gotten it from guy b months ago and the symptoms are just arising? or is it definitely guy a?
You can get lesions at any time with hsv. I primary outbreak usually happens 2-10 days after infection. So it could be a primary outbreak or an established infection. His blood test should shed some light on this but it still may not give you a definitive answer.
I would get a type specific igg blood test to see if it's hsv1 or hsv2. Although they may have type specific tested the swabbing. See if you can get the results from the dr.

Was it hsv1 or hsv2. How were you diagnosed? What were the symptoms? Sorry I am just trying to get a handle on what exactly was going on with you.
