I just got married two weeks ago to my wife and just last night she tells me she has herpes. She knew before we got married. What are my risk? Can I live with her for 40 years and not get it?
you could be with her a lifetime without contracting her herpes.
at this point, ask her some more questions. find out if she has hsv1 or hsv2. ask how she treats her herpes.

you also will need tested to know your own status too. you can't make educated decisions about precautions until you know who has what.
