need help please

hi all,

i read few posts here. i'm happy that there are many experts in this.

last week i went to a sex worker and she performed only oral sex on me for 2 minutes. i ejaculated in her mouth and i stopped there it self.
now i experience tingling in my penis head, i have sharp knee joint pain and back ache.
but no lesions, rashes, bumps in penis.
i also read there are two types of herpes. hsv2 is more worse than hsv1. can i get hsv2 from this incident. can you please let me know the risk factor oral hsv2 transmission.
she is a sex worker and bit old in the mid of fourties.
the next day i called her up and asked her., does she have anything. she said, i dont know. but she said that she performs oral sex for every customer. i 'm scared that she may have oral hsv2 and transmitted to me.
i feel like i did a mistake. i read that it is only rare to transmit but it is possible.
please help.

no you don't want herpes pcr blood testing. herpes is not a blood borne virus.

you really are worrying far too much about herpes from this. wait and see if you develop any symptoms and follow up with proper testing as needed with your medical provider.

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Oral-HSV2-Transmisstion-Question/show/248262

this link seems to be informative, by one of the doctor in the STD Forum.
he states that he has never seen any one who got infected with genital hsv2 from oral hsv2.

he also states that it is hard to say. because ppl perform lot of practices.
a person got infected with hsv2 from oral and thinking that he got it because of unprotected vaginal sex.

do we have any scientific data, which states that transmission is not highly possible.

hi bod and grace,

I'm 21 years old, so thinking 40 as old. :) sorry grace. out of anxiety, my mind gave lot of stupid information to think that i'm infected.
that she is old, she has a lot infected customers. bull ****, this mind is worse than everything. :(

thanks a lot for the information and your time.,

i spent half of the night reading all your posts and understood that i shouldn't be reading anything from the internet.
grace, if possible can you please let me know, why oral hsv2 is very rare.
is it because it is tough for the virus to get transmitted from genital --> oral.
what if a person has genital hsv2 and active sores and receiving oral sex from herpes(both 1 and 2) free person.
in this case, what is the risk of transmitting from genital --> oral in the scale of 1 out of 10.

if the herpes free person get hsv2 oral from the above exposure. i read that it recurrences are very rare and it sheds very rare. if it recurred and have an active sores present in the mouth,.
what is the risk of transmitting oral hsv2 --> genital during an active outbreak.
in your experience have you ever come across oral hsv2 person.
and also a person who got genital hsv2 from oral hsv2.
i cant shut off the anxiety, because my guilt is taking a ride.
i have my marriage coming in months.

if i cant wait for three months post exposure. i live in india, can i do pcr dna test on blood to know my status.
i have no symptoms other than pain in the groin and tingling in the penis head, lower backache and knee joint pain. i got this only after the exposure.
thanks a lot for your knowledge and patience.

40's is a bit old? sigh.

at this point you've had no real symptoms that suggest herpes. should you get any obvious lesions, see your provider within 48 hours of their appearance for a lesion culture and typing. Hsv1 is the biggest risk from oral sex, not hsv2.   have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your own status or can you recall ever having had a cold sore?

you can get std's from oral sex but the risk of such is fairly low in general. If the tingling continues or gets worse, be seen for some basic urine testing to check for signs of infection. What is normal bacteria in the mouth, isn't always so normal when introduced to the urogenital area through oral sex and it's not too unusual for that to be the issue, not what we typically think of as being a std.

oral hsv2 is extremely rare. your exposure represents no risk.

if you spot symptoms, be seen by a doctor. the pcr swab is usually indicated when symptoms are present. otherwise, you gotta wait 4 mos. to have the blood test.
