thank you again
for your time and information
we don't have stats just for oral . you can contract hsv2 orally but overall the risk is very low. your partner being on daily suppressive therapy lowers your risk even more. if you want even more protection, utilize barrier protection for oral too.
thanks for the info, is that the same for oral sex as well?
so you've been tested to know that you don't have herpes too?
if you two did nothing but avoid sex any time your partner has anything going on genitally, you would be 90-92% likely each year NOT to contract hsv2 from him. if he takes daily suppressive therapy, your odds get even better - 94-95% likely each year NOT to contract hsv2 from him. throw in condoms too and you are 97-98% likely each year NOT to contract hsv 2 from him.
keep asking questions!
I am female and we are using condoms all the time, I'm wondering what the risk are w/o condoms, both through intercourse and oral sex.
can you still contract your partner's hsv2? yes you can but the risk is lowered significantly when you take precautions.
are you male or female? ( I never trust the icon )
