needs some answers!

hello i am a 23 yr old man who has just bin disgnosised with HPV viruis in my genitals at the begining of july. but at the same time my tongue was really red and felt like it was on fire then i developed very sore throat which i just put it down to smoking to much. I did have unprotected sex both oral and anul. but i have not had sex since the end of june. i went to my GP but he told me that it was a virual infection and to wash mouth out with salt water. i am doing this three times a day.
then bout two weeks ago still with the sore throat i developed colourless lumps around the inside of my mouth around the lips at the same time the burning feeling that i had spread to my lips and it felt like both my lips where on fire. the lumps do not hurt but there appears to be a number of clusters. i showed these to the GUM( STI clinic) clinic that i am attending and they said that the do not look like warts or herpes. Then a week ago after a very painful day with my throat which brought me to tears i looked at the back of my throat and saw a larger greenie pussie blister at the back of my throat which is very very painful. i spoke to the clinic again and showed them my throat and they said that herpes dont often appear in the throat but they did a swab test just in case. I then returned to my GP who after looking at my mouth and said that it was a STD that i picked up from oral sex. Then with out further advice or support ask me to leave and go the the GUM clinic. But this is the same doctor who said my genital warts where spots so i dont know wot to do. my symptoms do not seem to match anything and every time i search i get herpes!!
does this sound like herpes to anyone? i saw that most of the time herpes appear on the lips but i have anything om my lips! i am lost on wot to do now, i have also bin informed that my test results will take 26 days to get back to me!! i just need to know wot this is? any ideas?

Herpes in the mouth won't cause green pus to form.

Did they ever treat you for a bacterial infection ? What std did they feel you had in your throat?

No did not treat me for anything my GP just said that is was herpes and the STI clinic just said taht they have to do tests so they took the swap and now i have to wait 26 days to know wot is going on. the lumps in my mouth seem to be spreading and dont show any sign of going away. any ideas?

I know of no test that takes almost a month to come back. Give them a call and ask specifically what the swab of the mouth was for and when results will be back.

It's unlikely that you contracted oral herpes over a month ago and it's just now showing up and still spreading like this. Odds are it's something else going on. continue to follow up on this with your regular provider for further evaluation.

Thanks for the advice. i am trying to get help but my GP just keeps telling me its herpes( I think cose i am a gay man) and the GUM clinic keeps telling me its nothing to do with them. I just need some answers really!!

I am sorry that no one is doing more testing on you. Perhaps it's time to pay out of pocket for a private doc?
