outbreaks lasting months at a time

In Sept of last year I tested positive for herpes and for the past 10 months I've had the longest outbreak ever. The blisters will heal then others will pop up, this has been going on for the past 10 months. I know that an outbreak should last about 3 weeks, I then start to clear up. But then it's time for my monthly period and the outbreak starts all over again. So I get 2 to 3 days with no blisters at all then bam, the outbreak is back. Like I said this has been going on for 10 months and hello, like anyone else I would love to have sex. I don't know what to do, if there is anything I can do. I am willing to do anything at this point for the pain to be gone for awhile. Can someone please help me.

I don't think the issues you're having right now have anything to do with herpes, I do know they wouldn't last months on end. I've heard doctors on here say that it might last a month, which would actually be the first outbreak. But, if this has been going on for almost a year, that's something else. I've even read that while blisters/scabs are most likely due to herpes, it could be like someone said, allergic reactions. And you can just be extremely sensitive down there, I think we women forget that. But, while I'm giving you advice, I wonder if you can give me some. I'm an 18 year old female, and I've only had sex once in my life, almost 10 months ago. It was protected but for the past couple of months I've had vaginal itching, and a bump on the lip of my vagina(with 2 stands of hair coming out of it). Now, I know a herpes bump wouldn't last that long, but I'm a very anxious person and have panic attacks because of this. So, I was just wondering do you think it's pretty unlikely that I contracted herpes, and I'm now just getting a sign of this, even though an itchy vagina can be because a number of things? Or am I just overreacting?

Yes I have a bacteria infection not a yeast infection. Doc says it's cuz it's summer time and I sweat more. I work in a Hott as* resturant. We have a/c but it's still hott as all get out here. He told me to take the meds and use some baby powder every day.
Also, I have noticed since I have been taking Valtrex that my blisters are scabbing over superfast. The blisters are still there underneath and are painful but there are very think scabs over the blister. Is this normal?

Don't forget at your doc's appointment this week to ask for the whole shebang of testing down yonder so you can start figuring out just what is going on.  I'm willing to bet that it's not all herpes going on.

Friday I started taking Valtrex 500mg twice a day so it's been 5 days. No change yet I know it's too soon and that I need to give it awhile to work. Anyway that's my update.
