I've never heard of HSV 2 causing all of these problems, no. Two things: you can't feel your cervix without touching it so I"m unclear how you know it is swollen. Also, thyroid pain? I'm also not aware of anyone being able to "feel" their thyroid. Not clear what you are talking about. But if you had herpes, you would feel mostly local symptoms, have blisters, sores. Do you have anything like that? I know you have vaginal burning, but do you see anything?
Did the person you had sex with in Feb. tell you they had herpes, is that why you think you are infected? I'm a little confused.
Terri
the person in question claims to have no idea what would be wrong. I guess my vaginal entrance is what was extremely swollen which an icepack helped and it's gone down. By thyroid pain I mean the scarf around your neck feeling. Now all symptoms have subsided. No sores. Just extreme burning and my vaginal entrance swollen. I'm unaware of his status. All of my labs come back in normal range for everything yet these symptoms keep coming and going. The reason I was thinking herpes is vaginal burning a few days after. Oral was also given and remember my mouth (roof) becoming itchy. I'm at a loss as to what's happening. All I know my symptoms are real and depression can't possibly cause vaginal burning/swelling. Nor a swollen eye.
Generally, BV doesn't cause vaginal burning and pain. It is called bacterial vaginosis rather than bacterial vaginitis because it is not an inflammatory process (osis vs itis). I think you need another opinion. Have you tried any over the counter antifungal medicines, prefer the topical ones for something like your symptoms.
February is too close to have tested accurately for HSV. If you decide to test again, please wait four months for more accuracy.

I found a bump but had mistaken it for hpv and was going to be seem monday but now that is all cleared up. In doing some research I found that a viral infections can cause thyroiditis and could explain my "scarf feeling" and brain fog. Also another poster and people with ebv have have stated liver trouble where the enzymes were high which could explain my swollen eye all the time. I can't get anyone to help me. Just mental health refferals. Would an MRI or cat scan or something help to show what the eye trouble is? I can't take this much more. I feel like my health is failing. In additon, my son and I Eskimo kiss and now he has small little type blisters on his nose. I'm so frustrated. Should I switch to alcylivor ? Would that help calm things down? It was impression that both drugs are the same but the valtrex is a pro drug and turns into alcylivor. Any thoughts?
I would recommend that you see an opthalmologist for your eye issue. Also if your son has blisters on his nose, he should be seen as well.
Your issues are beyond the scope of this board. I do hope that you will connect with a health care provider for another opinion.

I have connected and they say he has chcicken pox, that seems very coincidental to me. I thought oral hsv2 was easily passed? The ONLY was my son would get hsv2 is from me either hugging or kissing him. The blister started on his nose and then went on his fore arm ( I believe from wiping his nose with his fore arm) this is becoming a nightmare. We both have twitching and body jolting at night. I have no idea what to do at this point. I addressed my concerns with my pediatric department (2) seperate dr's. Why is this all happeneing? We Never ever reuse towels and I have been careful in everything I do. I don't understand how some can jut get sores and it goes away and I seem to think I truly am a walking biohazard. I never even had any sores to swab and need to wait until June for the four month mark. Do children take supressive therapy? Who can I talk to? I certainly don't want people to think I sexually abuse my son. This is a nightmare! @
The pediatrician would know what chicken pox looks like, I would trust his opinion. Your son did not get HSV 2 from you. Oral HSV 2 is NOT easily passed as is a rare event in the first place. Body twitching has nothing to do with herpes. Children do not normally take suppressive therapy.

It just seems really rare that both my son and I are having body twitching at night. His leg randomly fell asleep the other day and his leg extended and bent really fast about 6 times all on it own. He was scared and asked "what's in my body" I truly believe that I contracted HSV2 and all my "symptoms were due to the infection.....
"IF" in fact he does have HSV2 on his nose and his forearm what are the transmission rates? I am fearful for other children at school? Is this going to be hard to control because of sun exposure?
I am not aware of any research on transmission rates of herpes from arms and face to children.
Herpes does not cause jerking legs
I think you have run WAAAAAY ahead of the facts here .
This is my last post on this thread.
