recent health issue, can this cause mini outbreak?

recently diagnosed with hsv 1 & 2 genital.  started valtrex suppressive theory approx 24 days ago.  i came down with an infection on a peritonsillat abscess which compromised my white blodd cell count to nearly 9000 and was eventually hospitalized to get condition and pain from abscess under control.  now home i feel tingling and noticed one small vaginal lesion, obviously my hpv.  this would be my 2nd outbreak ever so i dont know what to expect.  it is not near as bad as the first one which was 2 months ago.  I also have been getting  bug bite looking sores on my arms, legs , and face.  they ooze scrape open then scab but not like a mosquito bite.  just didn't know if it could be connected.  didn't know if lesions can show on legs (near ankles) arms face.

be careful with your abbreviations - you put hpv and I'm sure you meant hsv which is herpes. gets confusing to others when they read your posts.

A wbc of 9000 isn't high actually - it's within normal range.

it's not unusual to have recurrences of your herpes when you are otherwise ill. Your body runs low on resources and a breakthrough ob isn't uncommon. Up your valtrex to 500mg 2x/day for 3 days and then go back to your usual suppressive therapy dose.

since you've been on antibiotics, don't be surprised if you end up with a vaginal yeast infection too :(   just so much fun being female sometimes....NOT!

Your rashes on other body parts are not due to your herpes. definitely follow up on them monday with your provider for further evaluation.

typically recurrences are milder and since you have been on suppressive therapy that will help too. It should be healed up in now time so you have one less thing adding to your already not feeling so well.

hope you are feeling better soon :)

If you have Genital HSV yes you will show with your lesisons anywhere in the boxer shorts region of your body.  Those are the nerves that are infected.  As far as the sores everywhere else this is something you need to see a doctor for.  This may not be related to your HSV (given the location) and needs them to look at given you left the hospitial and these things happened.  Staph is such infection that you may need to look into as well.
