red bump

i am sexually active. however i dont think what i have is sexually related but just to make sure. i have red bump where my pubic hair is. it has gotten inflamed and rather large. there is only one bump and it is very sore when touched. it didnt have a head but i managed to pop it.. but there is still a lump so more fluid inside? pussey like fluid. its not clear or blistered like herpes. im worried but my friends are telling me it is probably an ingrow hair? what do you think it is?

Planned Parenthood is just another way to get GYN care if you don't have a regular provider that could look at your bump.  I'm not saying its NOT an STD, I'm saying it could be several different things, and that you would be well advised to get it checked out to get clearer.  I'm not sure what you mean by "clean" but you might want to make certain that your partner, in their testing, had herpes testing done.  Often an STD screen doesn't include that routinely.

i dont understand why i would need to go to planned parenthood? good to hear that its not as serious as i thought it was. do you think there is slim-none chance of an STD. My recent partner has been tested and is clean. however he is not the only man ive been with.

Thanks

It could definitely be something as simple as an ingrown hair or a cyst or a boil of some kind.  Do you have a regular gyn person that you see?  If not, you could go to Planned Parenthood and they could help you sort out what this might be.  I think that might be a good idea, what do you think?
