If the out break is on my shaft and I wear a condom does it eliminate the risk of transmission?

if your partner is already infected, it's not an issue other than comfort when you have ob's. You won't get herpes "worse" neither will your partner or anything of that sort.

I'm a little confused, so there is still a risk?
I kind of am asking, so if I am having an out break I should wait until it is over even if my partner is infected?
Also like I said my ousbreak is on the top end of my shaft, but I am having some dry skin around the base now can ot spread to other parts? Also my partner has her outbreak on the bottom of her back right at the top of her butt, could I infect her in other places?

shedding occurs from the location of the lesion when you have one as well as from the entire anogenital area. In between obvious lesions, shedding occurs periodically from the entire anogenital area.  so in other words, the area you get lesions in typically, has no bearing on covering to protect a partner in between recurrences. make sense?

also I assume you aren't asking if it's ok to have sex during an active ob as long as it's covered?
