Good luck in the future and stay safe.
First off there were a lot of people bombarding you with info. Grace has a wealth of informatiin and is big on being tested. She has helped a great many people. That being said I do understand where you are coming from.
Here is how I would have answered your questions.
1 you don't need to be overly concerned about hsv 1. Being that tou were concerned enough to come here I would say you had about a zero chance of getting it from this exposure.
2. If you did test positive for hsv1 and had no genital symptoms. Then I would bet the farm on the infection was oral from childhood.
3. If you know you have it then I would say yes you should.
4.I would consider valtrex if you have outbreaks often. You can of course spread the virus. During an outbreak or from the periodic shedding of the virus.
5. Well I would just be honest with people you're intimate with and let them make the choice.
you can play "what if" until the proverbial cows come home dear, get tested so you can stop worrying about it!
ok. is there a chance that i don't have it? i can't think of anyother place i could get it from. the was the only time i ever madeout or had sexuall contact with someone.
sorry - eyes weren't reading right....lol
yes, you should be discussing with partners your hsv1 if you test + for it.
*Partners not parents. and i haven't been tested for hsv1 yet, but i think that the blood results might come back positive since 1 out of 3 children have it before they start preschool. i'm still kinda confused.
1- you haven't even been tested yet
2 - why would you tell your folks anyways?
so i have to tell my partners that i have a virus that almost everyone has? i'm lost :(
http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm is a terrific link with more info on hsv1 orally.
Yes you can still transmit hsv1 orally - by kissing others and by performing oral sex on partners. it's well worth talking about at some point in relationships.
grace
so if my bloodtest come back positive for hsv1 then i don't have an STD and i won't have to worry about spreading it or telling future partners?
Oral HSV1 is not considered an STD.
As stated, your risk for getting genital herpes from this 1 minute encounter is extremely small. As grace stated, you've had no other symptoms either so it's not likely you contracted herpes from this encounter.
why should i worry about hsv1 if almost everyone has it?
so if i have hsv1, that means i'm not STD free?
but if i'm hsv1 positive. would it mean that i got it from this encounter? because i read online that you can get it at a kid.
You can get HSV1 or HSV2 from receiving oral sex but its more likely youd get HSV1,
Keep an eye out for symptoms and get tested 3 months after exposure to be on the safe side.
always a good idea to only give and receive protected oral sex.
odds are you didn't contract herpes genitally from this. You would've noticed symptoms by now. You've had no other symptoms either so it's not likely you contracted a std from this encounter. Learn from this and change your behavior for the future so that you can protect yourself and worry less!
grace
Yes, you can. However, the chance that this girl had oral HSV2 is incredibly small (only 3% of oral herpes infections are HSV2, and at that age close to 0). And, if she had oral HSV1, a one time encounter of less than a minute is also an incredibly small chance.
You can get HSV1 or HSV2 from unprotected oral sex.
Here's a great resource for reading about oral herpes.

Oral sex is relatively safe sex. Unless your partner actually has oral herpes would oral sex be a risk. And even then, it's a low risk unless she has an active cold sore. I would not worry about this encounter, and in the future consider protected oral sex.
