Most everyone who tests positive has sone so by day 60. As an estimate, maybe 2-4% of people seroconvert from day 60 to day 80 and virtually no one seroconverts after 80 days.
As such it really is only a tiny chance that you would seroconvert from here. The doctor is effectively right, especially as you have no HSV.
update: i got tested 10 weeks(69 days) post exposure, i am negative:) The doctor says i should be very confident with the results and no need to retest. I did not wait 12 weeks and in your opinion based on everything is that alright? Thank you!
Please put the mirror away. Genitally focussed anxiety can only add to the symptoms you are experiencing. Try to stop looking, relax, do you know relaxation techniques? Let the tension fall away several times a day.
Do you think i could have missed lesions as they may have been too far back to see? i did a visual/physical check when i noticed symptoms however i did not begin checking with a mirror until after my first doctors gynocologist app.
There are quite a few conditions that can cause pain in the areas you suggest. I am more familiar with male issues.
Pains can be caused my nerve damage (not herpes related), entrapped nerves and spinal issues. Muscular problems in your back or pelvis can impact upon nerves and give pains. Inferred pains from organ issues also occur but I am not as familiar with how these manifest in terms of symptoms in females. These issues can be exacerbated by stress and anxiety leading to retention of tension in the muscles causing tightening and spasms.
Thanks i will look into relaxation techniques. Does this sound std related at all even if its not herpes? Can anxiety cause all this pain for this long? Thanks!
Well the rule is testing for herpes is 3 months post exposure but if you did contract herpes from him the most usual symptom is a open sore and the post sore symptom would be fever and achy muscles. I agree with your doctor that your symptoms of not herpes related as is to long for prebreakout to be happening.
You are now close to 12 weeks, that is a good point for someone with no previous HSV 1/2 to test. Try to focus less on your genital area as telling you whether you have herpes or not and depend on the blood test given how close it is now.
