Looking For Input

Hello!  I am a 42 year old male really looking for some input as I have made a mistake that may affect my life and cost me family, so I really hope I recieve some feedback.   Six weeks ago I made a terrible mistake, while intixicated, and slept with an asian prositute (I believe).  We had shared glasses and some foor while drinking that night.  I gave here oral sex unprotected, some light kissing, and rubbed my penis on here vagina unprotected a few times briefly, we tried sex with a plastic shoer cap as a damn with not much luck (alcohol etc).  All this to the best of my knwoledge.

I have no history of STD's and had a routine test two years ago with everything returning negative and have been monogomous since that test.   Three weeks later I went for STD testing: All was negeative except for Herpes.  Here are the results:    IgM=1.25 (High) with 1.10 being the positibe.negative threshold, HSV1 IgG < .90, HSV2 IgG <.90.  The test was done be Lab Corp.  I have a read all the IgM information on here, but as far as I know I have never had HSV1, mono or any of the deseases that would trigger a positive.  Couple days after the test I had heavy urination (and urge to pee)  for a few days; it seemed like every half hour, but no burning.  It did feel like my scortum and penis head was warm (not burning) like alcohol or menthal was applied. I also did not sleep well due to worry.  I do drink quite a bit of caffinated beverage (6 coffes, 5 sodas per day min) which was magnified by lack of sleep.  I have had aches and pains but have been doing some heavy lifting on some home projects over the last several months, so being sore has not been uncommon.  I have also had a weak urine stream off and on for a few month.  I am paranoid of everything on my body now and check everything daily.  I am now at week six and noticed a very very small pimple (maybe skn to ligh red colored with yellow center) at my penis opening a few days ago.  It has remained unchanged for two days, but today I noticed what appeared to be a black head ot the opening also.....extremely small.  After further inspect and streathing the skin it appeared to be a very small ulcer (less than pin head, hard to even notice).  When not strethed it appeared to be dark like a black hear, but when strethed it kind of lookes grey in the middle.  It is just extremely small and I cannot believe I did not notice it prior.  Ever since the testing I almost believe I think this stuff on me.

I guess I am looking for hope and I'm sure the answer will be to be tested in 12 weeks, but is there any positve input to these symptoms.  Very terrified and scared of loosing my family.  I guess this is what I deserve.

I was around the flu quite a bt around this time and before (actually swine flu in my house).  I'm just a wreck.  The pimple is practically healed as is the micro (which looks like tear with faint gray center) ulcer appears to be healing without a scab.  

I have also had itchiness around the eyes and nose but no visible signs.

There is a little relief atht the IgG was non-detectable after a little over 3 weeks.  Maybe I am that 50% that can produce after 3 weeks, but did not.

I think I will just wait to retest (OMG not till January), and if it is positive, I think I will have no choice but to see a new doctor.  

I am rambling.  I don't know you, but I want to let you know just the fact that somebody replies to anything offers a bit of comfort.  I never imagined something could create such paranoia and my only focus in my like.  I guess everything happens for a reason.  For me it makes me realize what is important (what I might lose) and I have also stopped drinking (weekend alcoholic I think).

Yes the igm can be correct but it's also wrong quite a bit. The one you had done wasn't type specific either which means many other things can be causing it to be falsely positive. It's really not worth ordering on patients and the guidelines are that it shouldn't being done.

At this point all you can do is see a different doctor somewhere else.

Thanks for the reply and I appologize for the typos.  I wish I could go to my doctor, which is part of my dilmana.  Several family members work at the doctors office and this is not something I am ready for them to know either way.  I am quite ashamed and disgusted with myself, but I want to figure out how I will proceed with what could be the loss of my life as I know it today.  I am open for suggestions of how to see a doctor without records from my current doctors office or corss interaction.  

I understand how everyone feels about the IgM, but it can also be correct.  Is there in value in the numbers being low or does that matter.  It would seem after three weeks the ani-bodies would be kicking pretty good.

Anyway I am really amazed at your dedication to this site.  

Any further input would be appreciated as to the odds of this thing being negative would help me get through this.  My aim is to get re-tested IgG specific in 6 more weeks.

totally disregard the igm results for herpes. It's a very flawed test as you've read here evidently.

At this point you need to return to your doctor and get a proper exam done again and further testing done.
