thank you, that is a bit of a releif. To be honest, I am worried most that I may have contracted it. But if you already have hsv 1 orally, its less likely to catch that type genitally? I'm assuming its because youre body knows how to fight it off right?
To be honest I haven't had a cold sore in a long long time, and they never end up being full sores, so I am assuming my body/immune system has gotten used to fighting this type off.
if he has hsv1 himself then this isn't really much of an issue. He has significant protection from contracting hsv1 genitally if he has it orally already. Your cold sore showing up 2 days post encounter means it most likely was the oral sex/kissing that triggered your cold sore and it wasn't the virus shedding at the time ( could just be coincidence too in the timing - we'll never know ).
You kissing someone else with hsv1 doesn't trigger yours either or vice versa.

He did not have any visible sores on his mouth either.
