Herpes after oral sex

I am a male. 16 days ago I received oral sex from another male. I ejaculated into his mouth. During the experience, he bit me - not enough to draw blood - but there was a break in my skin that took several days to heal. At this point, with no visible symptoms. Should I be tested and, if so, when? Thanks! .

herpes won't cause prostatitis.

Grace - I checked that question. I don't see where the board addressed the herpes question in relation to prostatitis. My local doctor just seems ill informed and your group just seems to be better informed.

Sorry, I don't mean to come across as being crazy. Just trying to find info.

Grace - Could I ask... I saw on one web site that Herpes can be a cause of prostatitis and I saw that Dr. HHH said that it was not (this was back in a long ago posting). I received oral on a Monday and had symptoms of prostatitis within 2 days. Could herpes have produced such an infection so quickly? Thanks again!

And there's not been any other symptoms - no sores, I mean. I have some lower back pain (a result of the prostate infection I assume) but no other symptoms. Would things have shown by now?

this really doesn't sound like herpes at all.  no real reason to test from it.
