test results

i recently had a 1.10 positive hsv-1 or hsv-2 igg antibody detected test result does that mean i have hsv-2 or hsv-1 ?

i plan to get re tested...i never expected this ist hard to deal with...

You have a very low positive for HSV-1 or 2 (not clear which one it was for). This is very, very low, and might be a false positive, especially if 4 or more months have passed from your last risky sexual encounter.

What do you mean by HSV-1 _or_ HSV-2? Did you get a type-specific test?

1.10 is a VERY low positive. Most people with genital herpes have a 3.0 or higher. Yu may want to get this confirmed with a Western Blot test. Also, if it wasn't a type-specific test, you may just have cold sores (oral HSV-1), which most people do.
