testing for hiv

Hello friends. Am a 23 yr guy from india. I had oral sex with a prostitute 6 months back. I consulted a doctor 4 months back. He said that oral sex does not transmit hiv and tested me for herpes. it came back negative. Since its been 6 months now, is there any necessity for me to undergo hiv and herpes tests again to confirm?? is a herpes test at 70 days reliable? Kindly help me

hiv questions need asked on the hiv forum.

in the US, we never sterilize and reuse needles. they are all brand spanking new and were never used on anyone before.

2 days back i got hiv tridot test. It came as non reactive. Does it mean that am in negative? Even though he used a new needle, i am afraid that needle may have some hiv deposit and i may get infected?? Am i over reacting? Are there any documented cases of hiv transmission through needles in private clinics??

hsv1 genitally tends to occur because the uninfected partner didn't have hsv in their body ( most folks have hsv1 orally prior to contracting hsv2 genitally and that takes the "edge" off of their 2nd infection ). It usually presents with pretty obvious symptoms that you wouldn't miss.

I wouldn't worry about this any more at this point.  we rarely recommend testing from oral sex anyways unless you have symptoms. it's pretty low risk though certainly not no risk.    You've been worrying about this far too long!

no reason for additional herpes testing either. if you had contracted hsv1 from receiving oral sex, odds are you would've had symptoms soon after the encounter and you don't list any.

Hey, tht's quite a name you got there..
..you should change it to PROTECTEDsexlover21.
=)
No need to test for HIV. You were not at risk.
You didn't even need testing in the first place.
Always use a Condom.
