testing

I was tested for herpes and had an igm and igg type specific test at the same time. The igm was positive at 1.37, but the igg 1 and 2 were negative. This was six months after. Should I test again? I have never had any symptoms.

encourage your provider to stop offering herpes igm testing!! it's not a good test and plenty of info out there now to support it not being used for routine herpes diagnosis in adults.

Hi, and no need for more testing if you tested 3 months after exposure as the igG is whats accurate not the igM.
