I've given you advice now multiple times. why you continue to doubt your diagnosis as well as your herpes test results is beyond me. really nothing else I can possibly add to help you at this point. whatever is going on, is very unlikely to be a herpes problem.

Thank you, and please bare with me? I know you cannot diagnose someone over the net, but I was wondering if you could suggest what else I could be dealing with? That is symilar to the herpes symptoms? And then I could research that?
In the beggining I had the textbook, classical symptoms, except there was no pain involved until about 4months later, and at that time there was nothing to swab? But intense pain!!! I was clueless that what was initially going on was hsv, so I didn't get a leision swab.
My right eye burns and is bothersome periodically, the opto said I have dry eye? but it started at the same time as everything else? can they swab my eye for hsv? would that be a accurate test?
The reason I am here is because I have yet to find a doctor that wants to help me find a diagnosis!!!
pretty much if you haven't tested + for herpes in 6 months, it's not likely you are infected. if you continue to have symptoms, continue to be seen for them to try to figure out what is going on.

So if I havent converted in lets say a year? then I probably will never show antibodies to a blood test? I recently read one of your responses that said you don't have to have a puss filled sore to do a swab test? is that correct? They just swab the skin around the affected area?
on average it only takes a few months max. some folks never seroconvert to test accurately on the tests we currently have but thankfully that's a fairly small percentage of folks in general.
So what is the longest time frame that you know of that is has taken for someone to create antibodies?
if you have a + lesion culture for herpes then you have it even if it's never reflected on the blood tests. that's how we determine the % of folks infected who don't test + on the blood tests - through lesion cultures.
I understand the post situation? I did not know how to post on the "same" post as before? My question is in theory per say? I have never had a positive pcr, I was looking for an answer that would cover both aspects or at least put the question in perspective, as far as that it was confirmed that the indavidual did in fact have hsv,(posibly by pcr), yet never tested positive for hsv by antibodies testing? And then what is the longest known timeframe that you know of that the/A indavidual showed antibody response?
This is not just a hypothetical question, it is in relation to my own symptoms/ experience, Wich I have not yet disscussed with you. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
when you have multiple posts like this about your situation, it makes it hard to keep advising you. This is all volunteer for us all so having to go hunt through your posts to try to see what you were told previously is time consuming and keeps us from having easy access to your full story about your experiences that led you here. Please continue to keep all your questions in one post on this forum so that we can more easily see your posts to help you better. thank you for your future cooperation with this.
as I recall, none of your symptoms were really sounding like herpes from the quick glances at your previous posts. I was not able to find you having a possible + pcr swab. when did this occur and why do you say a possible + pcr?

If you've had symptoms for "a while" (you don't really state much about your symptoms), herpes lesions don't stick around. And, if you are having lesions, why aren't you getting a swab/culture of them in addition to blood testing?
Thank you for your response! I understand the reaserch that 3 months waiting is supposed to long enough for antibody response, But do you know of any cases in wich the waiting period may have been longer? If so how long would you say or have you heard of? 6mo?1yr? 2yr?etc?
I am refering to a situation where someone has had the "symptoms" for awhile? and possibly had a positive pcr, yet never had or had a delayed antibody reaction? O' and I do appreciate your time! of the two hsv, which is the "hardest" one to detect? I thought I had read that one might be more difficult than the other? THANX.
it's less than 5% of folks who have herpes but don't test accurately on the blood tests we currently offer.
