no it does not. you can have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally.  you need to ask specific questions about his testing to have the right answers.

at this point you'll need to repeat your herpes igg blood tests if all you got was a + result. too many false positive issues to rely on a +, without numeric results.

i m pretty sure it is   this is what it almost looked like a little less  http://www.herpesdoctor.com/15-easy-ways-detect-if-your-partner-has-herpes   number 13

my boyfriend and i both have been tested we both have it i have no symptoms except for what i mentioned if that was it    i don t know if i have it genitally
my boyfriend does   i m worried about getting it genitally if i don t have it already i don t see why i would have no symtoms as i got it in my mouth almost immediately that s why i was asking about antibodies it s been about 3 months can they protect me a bit.
my boyfriend is worried about getting it orally from oral
should we use condoms at this point   can we not use them if theres no outbreaks

This doesn't sound like HSV though.  There is other things that can go on that may look like it.

the symptoms you describe do not sound like oral herpes.

had you ever been tested for herpes before?

do you recall your actual test results - e.g. hsv1 igg 3.3 and hsv2 igg 7.6 or whatever they are?

i had sex with guy with condoms and oral without i got red and white patches on the roof of my mouth two days later no genital signs   this is a few months ago

i started seeing another guy  we had sex no condoms for a couple of months  no signs   the first time i did oral he got it a couple days later  he was swabbed    i had a blood test
i have no symptoms genitally

they say that having 1 protect somewhat from 2    so wouldn t  having antibodies  from the same one be better  at protecting u

most people who have hsv2 orally, also have it genitally. the exception of course being someone who contracted hsv2 orally from the only contact being them performing oral sex.

have you been diagnosed as having hsv2? if so, how?

we don't have good data on how much just having hsv2 orally protects you from contracting hsv2 later on. we assume it's decent protection but it rarely happens orally for starters and most folks have it both locations ( as confirmed from daily swabbing in the absence of symptoms genitally ) so it's far too hard for us to study and get good data on.
