very nervous

I currently have a cold sore on my lip. I am wondering how likely it is that I accidentally give myself genital herpes from this? I typically sleep naked (as I have been doing during the duration of my cold sore), and though I do not touch my cold sore directly, i touch areas around it (such as my chin/nose). if I then touched my bed/blanket that then touches my genital area, am I at risk? I did not touch my genital area directly, but I suppose my bedding may touch it directly when I sleep. I am extremely nervous and scared! please help!

There is no risk of giving yourself genital herpes from your oral herpes. Because you already get cold sores it is very very uncommon to get them anywhere else, especially on your genitals. Oral herpes likes to stay above the belt. Let's say you get oral sex from someone with a cold sore even then it is very very unlikely you will get hsv 1 on your genitals bc you are immune from getting the virus again.
