wierd herpes?

Hi I just got diagnosed of having herpes, yeast infection, and some other kind of bacteria which the doctor said was normal for a eighteen year old girl to have.  Im going through my first outbreak right now.  My vagina is swollen, red, is sensitive to touch and it burns like hell to pee.  When I went to the clinic to figure out what this was they told me by the look of it, it was herpes. they ran some test and prescribed me with metronidazole and valtrex.  My last period was february 14th but last night I started bleeding and it has continued on today like my period would. Im having cramps and ect.  Is this the herpes talking or is this the medicine.  Im two weeks early?

did they do any testing for herpes like a lesion culture?
