worried sick

about 12 day after having protected sex(condom broke) with a female, my genital area started to itch. This was followed the next day by a numbness/ tingling feeling only in my scrotum for 12 hours. I was extremely concerned that I had contracted an STD. I went to the clinic to get tested and saw the doctor. I had a red mark in my pubic hair( I think from scratching) and the doc also believed it was just irritated. I had her test me for every STD known to man( blood work and urine). I am still freaked out and am convinced that it is herpes. I randomly itch all over my body. Also I am started to have very minor back spasms.( I dont know if I am causing this because I read that herpes is dormant in your back above your butt) My Genital area still continues to itch but I also itch all over my body. I have not had any formation of anything on my penis itself but some red marks that appear to be from itching on the inside of my thighs. I also experienced brief numbness in my face( also read that this can occur due to herpes, but dont know if I am just freaking myself out). Anything would be helpful as I am worrying sick... I have not received the results back yet. Negative for both Hepatitis though. Also, would a herpes test be insignificant since was tested only 13 days after suspects infection date... wanted to add that the red marks on my legs are dry and almost flaky.. as is all my skin i feel in the last 72 hours....The initial marks that the doc looked at are gone already... the itch isint unbearable, just annoying and I have no pain in any area what so ever.. didnt experience any flu symptoms or anything muscle soreness of any sort... Also if whoever posts does not think this is herpes related... could you please give you insight to what you think it possibly could be... Greatly appreciated!

the only testing you had that was accurate at 12 days post encounter was your gonorrhea and chlamydia testing. all the rest was done far too early.  

herpes will not cause you to have itching all over your body. it also will not cause pain in your scrotum for just 12 hours.  

really nothing you've mentioned sounds std related.

might want to try a good quality all over body moisturizer , shorter showers and a mild soap when showering too.  sounds like you have dry skin more than anything.

So you do not think that the Tingling/numbness, the constant itch since, the possible muscle spams and face numbness are very good signs of Herpes? Since the encounter  I have been worried about it and at day 10 or 11 i started to see this symptoms and this is why i have been so worried. Thank you so much for the insight!

also, would these be typical signs of symptoms after first being introduced to Herpes..... My instinct is that the itching all over the body is a reason it is not, and also zero signs of lesions/ the red marks, bups, cuts. also how long is the time between the tingling/ itchiness and the appearance of the Herpe like bump/spore symptoms. Thanks

I think you are paying far too much attention to your body right now and making more out of things you usually wouldn't think too much about.

you might have jock itch but other than that, nothing else sounds std related.

I am starting to get red spots in the crease between my thigh and genitals... they are flat and not raised and do not hurt ... but still itch bad..also a couple red spots have show up on the hairline / bottom shaft of my penis and resemble the same at the others. if it were herpes, how long does it take for theses to become the typical herpes sores? Also the itching seamed to increase bad with alcohol consumption. Any help please! Thanks! bottom line is - you need to be seen for your symptoms. I can not diagnose you online.

I have been and the Doc told me it did not looked nothing like herpes... but my symptoms have changed to what i last described and have another appointment. I am not asking for a diagnosis... I guess I am asking because you probably have a better background in this than I do.. I am just looking for some peace of mind, be it good or bad before I go back to the Doctor. So if you could please answer some of the ?'s i asked in my last post I would be sooo thankful.

odds are this is just plain ole run of the mill jock itch but you need a proper exam to know that for sure.
