Thanks so much for your reply!
I'm sincerely hoping that the discomfort was a result of hemmorrhoids or a fissure. I've had a couple of external hemmorrhoids, but this is the first time I've ever felt something like that inside my rectum. The discomfort just came and went so quickly- the external hemmorrhoids took at least a week to diminish in size and go away.
As far as STDs go, I know I'm not out of the woods, by a long shot. I'm abstaining from sex, until I can have some proper testing done.
I feel like I've had some swelling in my throat for the past two days, but I can't really see anything unusual. I suppose it's possible that it's all in my head. I'm just so wrried of an infection that I start to freak out at even the slightest body ache. . .
Hello,
These symptoms can be due to hemorrhoids or boils in the area rather than genital warts which are painless and do not regress in size. The average incubation period, which begins immediately after the initial sexual contact with an infected person, is usually two to three months but can range from one to 20 months. Chances of warts presenting such symptoms are less likely. Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus which may itch.
