Does HPV on lips ever present like Cold Sores?

I'll make this synopsis as brief as I can, as I wrote about it in a different thread in more detail.
I had a horrible unprotected very momentary encounter 8.5 weeks ago. Almost 2 weeks later, thought I had a yeast infection. Symptoms continued. I panicked and thought STI.
Three weeks to the day from the encounter I began to get cold sores, and my throat was irritated. I used Abreva on the cold sores for ten days.
I went for STI testing. The cold sores never opened or crusted, I thought because of the Abreva.
Everything STI has been negative.
Gon, chlym, trich, bv, syph, herp, hiv. All Neg.
HCP gave me ten days of Acyclovir for the cold sores which were still present. Still no change. Still the occassional tingle.

So I've had these cold sores, visible,  not broken, not crusted,  not gone for 5.5 weeks. Gyn said it's from stress and they won't go completely away until I calm down.

I'm wondering if it could be HPV instead of cold sores?
Does HPV ever tingle and hurt and present exactly like a cold sore, in a spot where you've had a cold sore previously?
I've never used Abreva before so I don't know how it would've reacted on me,  and just kept the original cold sore in its same "in-limbo" condition?
I still can feel a slight tingle right this minute.

(I also had a "one swab" at Gyn and found one thing - ureaplasma. So I'm being treated with doxy 100 for ten days and HOPE this will cure the genital tingle and discomfort I'm feeling... but I'm still worried about HPV.)
And I guess especially worried that is actually what's going on with my mouth/throat and not really cold sores and stress. ?

Like you I am looking for answers. I was diagnosed with HPV 2 months ago. I am having cryotherapy at the end of the month to remove the abnormal cells on my cervix. After finding out about me having HPV cervically I asked my doctor if I could have it orally and he said no. For 2 months I have had these cluster patches on both sides of my lips in the corner. On my top lip they are the coloIr of my skin and on my bottom lip they are white. And they can only be seen if i stretch my lips or pull them back. Also in the corner of my mouth are little pin sized bumps. They are so small Im not sure if they are warts or not. They are in a line aligning my bottom lip. I showed them to my medical doctor and she said they are stress related. I have been under a a lot of stress lately. I was diagnosed with Herpes and HPV. I do know that the bumps are not herpes. After reading some of the posts online and looking for answers, I will make an appt. to see my dentist and have an exam done of my mouth.

I wasn't sure if this should be in the HPV community, but thought that general std was a better fit.
I've thought all along they were cold sores from the stress I'm under in this situation, but now worried since they just won't seem to go away...
Can HPV cause this? Or did I screw the cold sores up with the Abreva?
