Genital warts clearing on their own?

I got diagnosed with genital warts in September 2011. I was shocked and embarrassed. I have heard that sometimes the body clears the virus and the warts will go away on their own. Since I was diagnosed I have used aldara cream which worked, but the warts were not completely gone and started to grow back a bit. My docotor then perscribed me Vyloma which is the same as aldara but it is 3.75% rather then 5% and is to be applied everyday. It burned my skin horribly after only 3 applications so I took a break from the cream. But much to my surprise the warts have started to clear on their own. As soon as my skin heals I plan to continue using the Vyloma until the warts have completely vanished. My question is, is it possible for the warts to clear on their own, is it my immune system clearing the virus? And what are my chances of re-occurance.

Thank you

*after all warts recurrence doesn't mean much, it's all about your antibody taking care the HPV virus, some people can have 6 warts outbreak within 6 months time and never had anymore outbreak ever since, while some others are milder (like once every 2-3 months), but then he keeps getting outbreaks for 2 years.

I dont know. One of dermatologists i have been to, told me that you have to keep your genital area as dry as possible, also try to shave very carefully if you want, or just use scissor to cut your genital hair (it's the trick to not irritate your skin with a shaver). Im not sure why he mentioned these things (about keeping the area dry and try to not irritate the skin down there), but he said if you dont do this there's a bigger chance the warts will recur. Maybe because of his patients' experience?

Other dermatologists and doctors, however, said there's no relation between these stuffs and warts recurrence. General science believe warts would only recur when your antibody has failed to keep them in check, so there should be no relation with the salt water, but who knows.

Keep in mind whatever you do to your warts should have no effect on future recurrence, means whatever you do, one day it would stop recurring. It could take months for your antibody to "win" over the warts, could be one year, or two years, or even more, but most of the times below 2 years.

After all warts recurrence doesnt mea

if this is your first infection, you cant expect much. I mean, it's very normal if the warts keep coming back once every few weeks but over time it'll be better. later your recurrence will be like once every 2-4 months and one day it'll stop recurring. Yes, your immune system should be able to clear the virus and what you can do (in the meantime) is to keep treating your warts...

wait for 6 months or better 8 months without recurrence then you can consider yourself cleared
