scared to death

im a married woman for almost 6 years.. i've never cheated. a few months ago i notice that around one side of the edge of the opening of my vagina was like getting hardish.. but it was still pink nad didnt hurt and was fine, i didnt think anything of it.. a few days ago out of the blue i noticed some sores, mostly around the area that was hard, its kinda sore and looks scary. but i also had some rough sex a few days before that, that made me really sore.. do i have HPV?  does that mean my husband cheated?

If you want to learn more about HPV and other std's go to this website www.ashastd.org.They have been providing accurate info about std's since 1914.I also subscribe to their newsletter which has all the up 2 date research on HPV and treatments. Also i would reccomend going over to the ask a doctor forum and browsing the archives on HPV responses to people posting.Drs.Hook and Handsfield are very expert in this field and also up 2 date with latest research and treatment for HPV and other std's.

I have high risk HPV.The doctors in the ask a doctor forum state this on hpv virus.there r 40 different strains 2 of which r wart bearing.if u catch a certain strain the body usually clears it in 6-12 mos.average..18 possibly longest.it then lies allegedly dormant in body and u cannot catch same strain.U can b re-xposed to another strain and catch a new one.U need to go to ur gyno and get what u describe checked out!

I can't respond to the hard area on your vagina -however I would like to point out that HPV can reappear many years after initiall infection and it is impossible to say based on current infection (if you have it at all) if your husband cheated on you.

Godd luck with your concerns
