yes our immune systems need all the help they can get.....women sure do get the butt end of this pun intended...unless others have wart bearing strain....such a learning xperience that has instilled me with a greyt deal of wisdom!
I will post more about this. I have high risk HPV too as does 99% of the population it seems ;o) We just know we have it. It can be dormant and not show up on an HPV test. That's why people think they don't have it but if you have had sex with just 3 people, you most definitely have it already. I know someone who has it, has LEEP, but her paps are fine now and her HPV tests are negative. Her body has fought off the virus. Some people it sticks with. Most people never experience negative effects from it. It's usually the older (over 35) and women who have had more than one baby or smokers. Men rarely have any problems with high risk HPV, they just don't like getting warts on their privates. There isn't even a test for high risk HPV in men so it's hard for them to know they even carry it! Most men don't intentionally mean to give their wives or partners HPV but it happens all the time.
I figure I must also have the low risk wart type too but so far, I've never had a wart. They have done several colposcopies and never saw one wart yet I am SURE I have low risk hpv too.
I try to eat really good, lots of healthy vegetables and proteins and have cut back on all the unhealthy snacks. I take extra folic acid and a good multi-vitamin daily. So far, I'm doing ok. Our immune systems need all the help they can get right?
