Genital Warts fed up
I've had genital warts since August. I have had Aldara cream 3 times, it worked for me but didn't completely clear up one cluster. So, it was recommend that I have cryotherapy. I had 2 sessions of this, but the wars just came back and started spreading again. I'm female and originally just had them on the area between my having and anus. Well I went back to the clinic yesterday and the woman was awful to me. She said that I mustn't have been using the cream properly because Aldara works and it would have got rid of them completely. Obviously this is a load of rubbish because I used it 3 times a week as instructed, left it on for 9 hours!! Even though it hurt me so much, the pain was horrendous from where it had burnt my skin I carried on. So anyways, she told me there was no point doing cyrotherapy because I have too many. I even have them on my cervix now which is worrying me because of the link with HPV to cancer.
I know it's different strains that cause cancer, but I won't be allowed a smear test until I'm 25 which is years away.
Anyways, I came out of that appointment totally angry, disappointed and frustrated. I am so fed up of this virus. I haven't slept with anyone else since I found out I had warts. So it's not like I keep getting into contact with it? But I don't think that makes a difference anyways seen as I may have this for life?!
I feel totally disgusting. And now I'm back to square one with even more warts, no treatment and feeing really low.
I'm going to try and get a second opinion because the attitude of the doctor I saw was terrible. But getting an appointment is hard enough where I live!
Sorry for the rant, but I'm just really fed up of this virus. It has put such a strain on my life and I don't feel able to tell anyone because I feel so ashamed and disgusting!

Im in the same boat as you as well. I had surgery today to cut them ALL off. probably around 300+. I had/have them in and around my ***, and everwhere up top. Aldara didnt work for me bacuase I waited to long to treat. I will be trying aldara again as soon as i heal up alittle. Its going to be an uphill battle with me as well. I know you probably hear this a bunch but get healthier, even if you're healthy. boost that immune system! stop smoking, drinking, smoking weed!
