Getting a Leep done today...keep me in your prayers!

Hello all,

I recently found out I have high risk HPV and moderate dysplasia. I went for a biopsy back in March and it was pretty uncomfortable. Today is the day I am getting a Leep and I'm a nervous wreck! I read about it online and that only made it worse. Apparently the dysplasia is "hidden" in the canal and both Drs couldn't see it with the microscope so it only makes me wonder how in the world is my Dr going to get to it to remove the precancer cells? This procedure is costing me a small fortune so I hope and pray this is the only one they have to do because I can't afford another one. Keep me in your prayers today...I'm going to need them (and you guys) today! Thank you!

Well, the leep didn't fully take, the Dr. wasn't able to remove all of it. She said that she wants to keep it "under surveillance" and to keep coming back for pap smears. I had a feeling that was going to happen considering where the precancer cells are (in the canal). I just wish they would go ahead and remove it all and be done with it!

The procedure went well as far as discomfort. I didn't experience much pain at all (they said the numbing would hurt the worst) and so far so good on cramping and bleeding. I am experiencing some cramping but it's not too bad, I can handle it. Hopefully this procedure took and I won't have to go through any more. We'll know in a week or so...
