I don't know about that but I would say it is not likely. What you could do is use a qtip to put your med in your eye, or a latex glove. Really I don't think there is a big risk factor because if there were people would know that finger warts lead to warts in the eyes and we don't! :)
thank you mag! I'll probably wait a week or two to see if it's even anything. it might just be deadskin from my nail bed. b/c it's more right under the nail (not under the nail like inside but behind). just one more question, if this was a finger wart could I spread it inside my eye? thanks
This is more about you having anxiety and panic feelings than you actually having physical issues. We all go through it when we have STD fears or any health fears for that matter. With STD's though we become so fearful that we are spreading something around our own bodies, even if we don't even have anything abnormal to begin with. We look for symptoms and suddenly become overly aware of every little bump, discharge, pain...ect. Most of which have always been there and we never noticed nor did we know they are perfectly normal parts of our bodies. Take a deep breath and relax. Make an appointment with a dermatologist to find out what the heck is under your nail and get it treated. :)
I ment behind the nail, sorry.
the wart is on my left pointer finger, under the nail. I use this finger a lot to put creams around my eyes. I noticed today that there looks like what could be a tiny wart forming near my eyelash line. ugh I'm so depressed about this. I really hope it's not what I think it is. and whne I was in the shower I did dry off but I jumped back into the shower and put hot water on my anus hoping it would kill anything. :/
I am sure a lower immune system has some connection to being more at risk for many things. Warts are very common and not something to overly worry about. You should find out for sure if you do have a wart and start treating it. The best way to be healthy is prevention. Always get your yearly exams, including dental.
With respect to STD's, HPV is very common but serious health risks due to HPV are not. You can avoid issues by being as healthy as you can and a big part of that is to deal with anxiety and stress.
A wart is not going to change as quickly as in a few hours. A shower isn't going to add a lot of moisture, you dry off after.
thank you mag :) I'm learning my lessons, trust me. but would my lowered immune system + hot moist shower cause a higher risk of spreading? I'm just really scared about all this. since my anxiety is off the walls from me being infected with lyme. I had to deal with anxiety about every std, and now I'm learning how to take better care of myself and prevention. from looking at it last night, it has not looked like it has gotten any bigger from this afternoon.
Yes all warts are contagious and can spread. There are almost 200 types of HPV, about 40 of these are gentail strains. Of those there are high risk strains that can cause cell changes and in women lead to abnormal paps, there is not testing for men. Low risk strains can cause genital warts. Not everyone who has HPV will get symptoms. This is true for both genital and non-gential strains. HPV's are very common and with the gential types almost all sexually active adults will have them in their lifetime.
You only know you have a bump on your finger and can try an over the counter med to treat it or see a dermatologist to confirm what you have. You shouldn't worry about genital HPV associated with your finger wart at all. Do educate yourself on how to protect yourself in the future if you are sexually active.
Try to boost your immune system. Reduce stress, don't worry about things too much, eat well, exercise, get sunlight, take vit's and if you are in the age range you could get the vaccines for gential HPV's.
okay thank you. I'm hoping you're right. because my immune system is low right now since I've been exposed to lyme a couple months back and I'm trying to get rid of it. would this increase the chance of it spreading? I've been doing a bunch of research on the internet. and it's saying all warts are spreadable but the ones on your fingers are low risk.
No you can't spread hand warts to the anus.
Thank you! I'm pretty sure the wart I have is a periungual wart. can that be spread to the anus?
Bottom line, enjoy masturbating without fear.
