Question...please amswer!!

I recently had a biopsy done..The results came back Stage 3 dysplasia.  Now the doctor wants to cut off a peice of my cervix.  I'm 23 yrs old.  I think i'm too young to be cutting off peices of my cervix.  I dont want to have problems having children or any problem because of cutting.  I also have a friend that had the same thing and her doctor told her that she was too young to be cutting her cervix and she monitors her every 3 to 6 months.  I just want other opinions because cutting my cervix cant be the only option. Please help!!!!!

The extent of your cervical dysplasia is a little unnerving, but cervical cancer is as a general rule, a very slow process. You should definitely get another opinion if it would make you more comfortable! Hey it's YOUR cervix right? :) Know that if you should decide not to go through with the procedure and to simply monitor the situation, a commitment should be made to clearing your body of the virus and also reversing your dysplasia. I recommend Janet Maccaro's "90 Day Immune System Makeover" to everyone! Hpv or not. Clearing the virus has everything to do with your immune system and you need to learn how to eat for your immune system. Also do you take the birth control pill? If so, I would add a folic acid supplement. Go to eBay and Amazon and buy books on the subject of hpv, start studying! In this case, knowledge truly is power :)
