HPV Transmission

What are the chances I could contract HPV from my girlfriend if she had an abnormal pap smear 7 years ago (with HPV detected, no genital warts)? All her pap smears after that have come back normal; she gets them twice a year.

And does anyone know if HPV causes any testicular/scrotal symptoms in men (i.e, dull aching pain in testicle)?

Thank you!

U've probably had HPV non-wart type and it cleared from ur system. If u'd had the wart bearing strain u woulda seen it by now.Dr.Handsfield just posted to someone that HPV takes anywhere from 8-12 mos. to clear from the body....another doc had posted 6-18 mos.approximate so this is the ballpark here.If u had future partners u could catch HPV from them and the warts as well as well as all the other gunky std's out there!when in heat....wrap thy meat...and ASK partners what std's if any they 've had!not asking, catching something and having to get it treated and the anxiety it causes is a big price to pay for remaining silent!

I forgot to mention that we've been together for 3 years and I have not had any symptoms as of yet. Is there a chance I did not contract it or is my immune system suppressing it? And could I pass it on to future partners?
