HPV and Uterine col leisure

Although I have got a very good Pap in April and not a single contact in between, I have been diagnosed a leisure on the uterine col , apparently due to a Candida not treated. I have oral and vaginal candida over a year now, it does not show on analysis, but the gynec says it is there and it caused me a change on the vaginal flora and a leisure on the col.

Although I have oral and vaginal candida according to the doc, I do not have HIV cause I have 7 test, the last at 9 months post exposure (acute HBV at the time).

For the leisure I got treatment Canesten Ovules (3 pills) and  Flucoric (2 oral pills). I finished treatment 3 days ago.

Can i go to the seaside 2 weeks from now? Can i enter the sea and have  protected contact with my boyfriend with this leisure?
Is it possible that the leisure is due to HPV although the Pap seemed to be perfectly clear?

Thank you very much for your time and advice!

I also have a Q about HPV and Gardsil: I have been to my gynec telling her about this concern on the leisure being provocated by HPV and she told me it's ok to take the vaccine also if I already have the 4 types of HPV because the vaccine stops the development of cancer in the future (if any development at all).
Is this true?

Please answer. I really would like to take the vaccine. I am 23 years and 10 days. Thank you!

if ur paps r clear an dur doctor is telling u the lesion is due to candida then go with that.the vaccine will prevent u from getting types of hpv u hven't already had.how does one keep a condom on in the sea?:)

oh......no....you got it wrong....I meant that people in my country (forums) say that I am not allowed to enter the sea water as doing wrong to my leisure and also that I am not allowed to have sexual contact with my bf as I had this treatment for the leisure.

As for the HPV thing, my doc wants to make me an appointment for the first vaccine and I didn't do any test- I also suppose I have HPV, but she says that the vaccine will prevent the cancer to occur, no matter if I already got the virus.

Thank you very much for the advice! I am really looking for the answer (also to find out if I can have contact will my bf, as I suppose he will get mad if we go in vacation and cannot do a thing...:( )

i would ask ur doctor if having sex in the seawater would affect a cervical lesion.....it could cause bacteria to enter vaginally hence aggravating the candida...r u on Diflucan or something else for the candida?in this country it is reccomended that women not have sex until their yeast infection clears....it prolongs the infection from clearing up.u should get the vaccine at ur age and yearly paps will watch for cervical abnormalities.ur boyfriend needs to respect ur medical condition over having sex....he could get a yeast infection from u and hafta get that treated!have u been checked to see if the infection is gone?

no...i meant to enter see water. and to have sex as different activities. And he is always protected so he won't get my infection.

and....no, doc called me again in 1 week. I finished treatment and i have 10 days till vacation but i wonder if the lesion is cured. I was on Canesten - 3 ovules and Flucoric - 1 oral pill.

and i wanna have the vaccine also if i have hpv, doc says......it is still good?!

i would think only a vaginal exam would determine if lesion is cured!u should have the vaccine at ur age...over here the girls will still get it if they've had hpv...it won't do a thing for the strain u've already had but will protect against other types of high risk and wart bearing low risk strains.good to be cured up of infection b4 sex...latex can irritate an already irritated vagina and yeast infection!

I am thinking having sex is a bad idea since all bad things happen to me. Now a lesion on the uterine col (seems to be small but still a lesion) and this things develop to cancer - I am sure I have a type of HPV anyway so the vaccine should be a good idea.

I know I will loose my bf and we supposed to get married next year - we wanted a little boy...but with my weak immune system it is not a good idea to have sex and I will always think during sex all I achieve is getting hurt internally.

Thanks for all your help and support! I decided to urge that vaccine due to your advice!

ah dear!if ur boyfriend really loves u he will stand by u during this and be understanding.. ur young and these things can and do heal up....maybe just for now refrain from sex until u heal up!there r things u can do to give each other joy that do not involve vaginal sex....and yes the shot is good for u at ur age!

Thank you for your optimism! The reason I am not so optimistic is because I am like 80% sure  I do have a type of HPV and that some docs in my country say it's useless to take the vaccine due to this HPV condition.

They also say that this infections (hurting the col) like the one I have are developing do to HPV and sex are developing very fast to lesion on the col. I started to believe any sex can damage my col and I love my bf; I know he loves me too, but he is very passionate and as I am so afraid to have sex again I can really see the end of it....:(

over here docs will give women up2 age 26 the vaccine even if they've had hpv.....does protect against strains not had,low risk types and vaginal and vulval cancers.u don't have the results of ur colp yet  for lesion so calm down please....not good to stress self out....there r ppl in this forum and the others who've had std's,HPV,HSV2 etc.and have gone on to have sex fulfilling relationships with an understanding partner even children!if u got a good guy and he loves u and stands by u...hang tight!that is a rare find in this world 2 day!:)

Thank you very much! I will probably try to make the nerve to take the test :I am very happy I am free of HIV and HBV, HCV and for the others I really do hope not to be as risky as those ones. So I will take the vaccine anyway and hope for the better.

I trust my doc too- I had oral and vaginal Candida over a year now and treated it- but seems that they did not go away and I don't know.....she says is a really small lesion.....maybe it really is caused only by this candida cause sexual contacts I haven;t had in a while and doc says that a contact wouldn't cause me a lesion. I do not know weather to believe that....

sounds like u have confidence/trust in ur doc so go with that...and good a small lesion  and impreative u find out xactly what it is and what caused and get taken care of....and yes so good no other std's.....u have ur whole life ahead of u dear....don't let this sidetrack u from what u want and having a good partner and sharing the same goals is very encouraging!:0)

Yes, a great partner I have! :P:P thanks......

But this disease thing is bothering me .....seems like you do not believe either my doc in saying it's a small lesion due to Candida...I confess I do not know very much about this things, but considering I haven't had sex in like 6 months and she also said contacts do not cause this kind of lesions,.....I thought it was better to believe that since I do not know any better.

And yes, no other std's, except that HBV that has been cured, thanks God, cause I repeated the HBsAg 3 times and it was absent.

Except for Candida, the Pap looked for like 6 STD's and also for modified cells and doc said the whole test turned out perfect and nothing to worry. I wish I believed that...

Thanks again ! I wish peace and healthiness for every single been.

But I never tested for HPV. My doc said some Paps look also for HPV but the one I did was not that kind.

Nevertheless she says that taking the vaccine for HPV is the best way to stay away from cancer also if I already have the virus.

She wants to give me the vaccine without taking the HPV test as I am very afraid of what I am going to find out and I am better not knowing. BUT she will give me the shots as she said that the vaccine protects me from cancer weather I have or not the HPV 16,18 yet.

She said that also if I already have HPV, I will not develop cancer if I do the vaccine. I have read on the prescript of the vaccine and she seems to be right, but I am no doctor..... what do you believe??

over here a doctor would give the HPV test b4 giving the vaccine to find out if the hpv virus is on the cervix, address that and then give the vaccine.I think that is very sound and thorough.Over there it sounds like your doctor does things differently than here in US.But aside from that u do need to have it and keep regular on the paps for that is the only way to stop any cervical abnormalities b4 they develop in2 something more problematic.

Yes,I do know the procedure, but do you believe it is useless if I have it? I thought I take the vaccine anyway.

If I test and I find out it is true I have it I will always believe I am going to die soon, I will not get married, have sex or children for not to hurt the cervix. So I believe it is for the best not to know and just die when the time is right, but live to 100% everything....

i would want the hpv test to know for sure. it is totally irrational ur fear of dying even if u have it!i had malignancies on my cervix at age 28,had a conization and was told if i ever had a child it'd hafta b c-section.i got high risk hpv 2 years ago,had the LEEP and am still alive!
