Hi bob
Are you in any pain from the warts? do you apply anything to your lips to get rid of the bumps?
Was your oral HPV caused from kissing and/or french kissing?

The HPV strains for Oral HPV are usually different than those found for genital HPV, and appear to be more aggressive and contageous.  I've been dealing with the oral HPV issue for several yrs, dealing with frequent surgical removal and interferon injections twice weekly.  Started with a small bump on gum between 2 teeth, first spread mainly just on gums and now has migrated to the lips.  It is on the increase especially among those whose immune system is compromised.

I've seen the MD's who say it is rare but I wish they would clarify that it is on the increase for those with immune deficiencies.  I see a MD DDS who specializes in treatment of Oral HPV and he indicated his cases have doubled over the past year.

I don't think you can get HPV from making out with someone who has it. I mean, unless oral sex was involved with the person they got it from. I think it's very unlikely though.
