HPV....

I went to the doctors 4 months ago for a Pap && when they got the results they never called me. I ended up getting lesions && started freaking out. I called && made an appointment for friday but yesterday they called me && told me I needed to go in. So I went in. && My doctor called me into the back room she told me I had a yeast infection && HPV not the kind that causes genital warts the kind that causes cancer. && she looked at the lesions && told me it was either cause I've had a yeast infection for a few months or it was the beginning of genital warts. So now I'm pissed that they waited 4 months to call me back. Cause I had no signs of HPV or a yeast infection.
Do you know anything about HPV if so can you fill me in?
