How long do warts keep reoccuring?

Hey im a 20 year old gay male. My bf of almost 2 years gave me genital warts. its really strained our relationship and almost killed our sex life. anyways ive had warts for about a year now and they seem to be getting smaller and less (ive had laser treatments, TCA treatments, and Aldara.... I wanted to know CAN I ever feel like my body has OVERCOME the virus? or is it like herpes and WILL most likely just keep coming back FOREVER... this is awful. i wanted the vaccine  for years but idk if my insurance covered it and my catholic parents wouldn allow it. loosing hope. sigh

Got the treatment, and the test for strep throat came back negative so they were unsure of what bug I had which was causing my glands to swell up... so they put me on penicillin which is working.  FInally some progress right?..  well, nurse practitioners double check my tongue... and suggested I either have a rough tongue... or possible growth of some sort... need to go check that out...  but I how the bloody hell do they treat oral warts?.. going to make an appointment tomorrow....       I mean..   I have made some poor decisions in the past when it comes to sex... alcohol played a part of about 99% of the time... and it was times like that which the sex was great... collapsing watching the sun come up when you go to bed at 12:00 am...  but I mean... I figured if they jumped the gun on you with oral then the least you could do is repay the favour...  spend all day gaming and avoiding seeing people from home at parties due to not wanting to get stuck in a situation where I might have to turn down sex...  keeps my mind off it as well... but as soon as I go to sleep.. its like my body is fighting with itself over this...  probably why I'm rambling nonsense on this at times... like the past 7 lines or so .. hahahaha

It depends on the type of virus you have. I had the first treatment and then had another after a month and that's it. I am clean for 8 months now. But there is a possibility of reoccurance if my immune systems weakens for some reason. Try to treat them as soon as you see them.

The warts will go away. You just have to wait them out is all.  You will have the virus for life apparently but your immune system will suppress it.  With warts you get outbreaks every several weeks to couple/few months for around a year on average.  It seems that if you have gone three months without any outbreaks you can begin to be hopeful and by the time you get to six months you can consider yourself as having repressed the virus and that you are no longer contagious.

You just have to be cool with it knowing it will pass.  It will pass.  I've now gone five months with no warts and I had outbreaks for exactly a year.  I'm really hoping this is it.  Keep you eyes on the prize and just get treated with you need to and be cool until it goes away.

I know what yah mean man...  my nerves are wrecked over this...  I'm going to get treated in the next couple of days but I recently got something going on in my throat..  if it means I can't even kiss a chick after this as well as totally hack my sex life to nothing.. I'm definitely considering taking the .22 and skipping right to the after life... lol
