Is this hpv and does it sound safe to remove?

7 years ago I shaved my genitals for the first time and it caused what looked like two little perfectly round flat moles. After shaving a few more times it caused them to spread and today I have 4 on each side of my base and on smaller lighter one forming midway up. They look exactly like the common mole/freckle everyone has, but it clicked it must be hpv warts. They're painless and don't itch or get bigger once they reach a certain size. Does it sound safe to remove them myself with an acidic genital wart remover?

I was in the same boat as you 1 year ago. I didnt get it taken care of and it spread EVERYWHERE. I just had surgery today to remove about 35 around my shaft and HUNDREDS around and IN my anus. Dont **** up like I did and go get those taken care of YESTERDAY. I cant stress that enough. DONT WAIT!
