Once you found HPV in your life do you share it with all your friends or have kept it to yourself?

Once you found HPV in your life do you share it with all your friends or have kept it to yourself?
I would like to listen some stories about how do you deal with your diagnosis on daily basis, I have read a lot about telling our partners but what about your family or your friends, whats the aproach you have done as far as this issue...or have you keep it to yourself??
Mine is still very private, my partner, my gyn and her medical doctor husband, wonder if should share this with my friends, since when I told them I was going from Pap to colposcopy, many freaked out telling me stories about the CIN factors and other "urban stories" around llike getting HPV!!!, so I wonder If i should spook them with a real life story... seems that support should come from friends but in the other hand this feels so personal you know??..
how do you feel about it and dealt with it?

well, yep I do agree with you. what surprises me is that due the fact that after all this HPV thing is more common than i ever imagine, seems like this is hidden and kept in the quiet and shadow line, you know what I mean?...
I mean I know it is not talking about the flu, but being this common wished were more open in order to be more informed and not be faced with so many questions and doubts around it and also to not feel like just landed from the moon around the "supposed" not infected people... do not know if you know what I try to picture.
Any way, Good health to you all!.

My story is that I haven't told anyone but my mom, partner, and one friend that I can truly trust. If you don't want people to know that you have hpv, its best that you keep it between people you can trust, and not people that will pass it on.

I can understand from your post that you've high risk of hpv that caused abnormal results against your pap and colposcopy... the high risk strain is only transmitted through sexual contact as such you can't spread it to other than your sexual partner...
