Oral HPV transmission

Hello -

For someone with genital HPV, are there any don't do's to avoid transmission to the mouth? could the hands be a method of transmission between the genitals and the mouth? ex: genitals infecting hands - hands infecting mouth

if you touch your genitals then put your fingers in your mouth it may carry a tiny risk of infection, oral to genital contact is required even then the risk isnt so high because genital hpv doesnt infect the oral cavity as easily as the genital skin

So the hand does not get infected per se. So things like eating a sandwich with your hand are no means of transmission, correct?

Wear a condom for 50-75% protection. Some online posts have suggested that the virus can stay on a hand after it touches an infected sex organ for a few seconds. Some people will touch their sex organ with one hand and their partner with the other to avoid infecting their partner. It really is not easy to get oral HPV and the % affected is low but it does happen.
