Your HPV is most likely long, long, long gone heather. Most doctors will tell you that within two years (at the absolute most) of an HPV diagnosis, you will clear the virus. If you haven't had any symptoms since your initial diagnosis, chances are that the virus has long been cleared. You will always have HPV DNA (the same way your body still has DNA for every virus you've ever had), but your immune system has almost definitely gotten the virus in check and you'll never hear from it again (unless you become immuno-deficient through HIV infection, chemotherapy, or pregnancy). Still, based on what I've read/learned, your chances of passing your 2004 HPV onto your partner at this point is practically nonexistent.
