Pimple or genital wart??

Hi,
I had sexual intercourse with a women.  Around 1 month after I had sex with her, a pimple showed up in my pubic area.  This was actually just a lone seemingly normal pimple (reddish base with a white head, like the ones on my face would look).  It did not cause any pain although it scared me because i had never had one in my pubic area before this.  I popped it (also like I would do if i had a pimple on my face), and what remained after a couple of days was a small scar (i assume), that is still visible now 1 month later (very  small).  My fear grew when one week later, one more pimple surfaced (exactly the same as the last), around two inches away from the last (so also in the pubic region, and also not on my actual penis).  I popped this pimple as well.  It cannot be herpes because the area is not bumpy and it did not look like a blister (as well as no flu symptoms), but a pimple, but i do not know if it could be a genital wart, ingrown hair, or just a regular pimple (or anything else).  Can you make any conclusions as to what these pimples could be?

John, here's what you do, if there is a next time you get one of those, do not pop it and go straight to planned parenthood or something as a walk-in.  They will pop it and test the fluid.  ALso, you can go and have your blood tested for HSV blood born antigens which will also tell you.

Another thing is too go to the Herpes forum and peruse that.  I don't know much about that but you are on the wrong forum.  Check out the "ask an expert" section for questions about HSV/herpes and get to understand the symptoms and stuff.  Good luck man.

If you're that worried about it, you should go to see a dermatologist to make sure- but what you're describing doesn't sound anything like warts.  I've never heard of them having white heads or popping like pimples. It sounds like ingrown hairs to me.  Like I said, to make sure, go see a dermatologist, but what you describe sounds nothing like GW.
