Please help!

Last 2006, I consulted a gynecologist who diagnosed me with warts in my inner genital part. I never had any sexual intercourse, but I remembered I had just once engaged in a brief touching of the genitals. I did not get any treatment on this, and then middle of 2007, I was cleared of the genital warts, the doctor declared I am clean. And just recently, another doctor declared that I do not have warts, but took a pap test which I didnt get the results yet.

Please help me, I am getting married soon, and my fiance confessed he didnt have any sex before. What I understood is that HPV is forever there, does it mean that I still have the virus and pass it on to him? How safe I could be?
