Plz help me.
So i have a horrible obsession with genital warts because its an std that men cant test for, we must simply wait and see if anything pops up. I noticed a little tiny tiny bump on the head of my penis. It cant be rly even be felt its so small. Its been this way for 10 days. My doc told me its nothing and no warts are present but maybe it was to small for him to see? My question is this; Would it have grow within the last ten days? At least some growth maybe? Seems pretty much exactly the same size, mayyyyyyyybe little bigger but i cant be certain. My derma once told me if i cant feel it its not a wart so im assuming its not cuz i cant feel it, seems like smooth skin. Also is it true that almost all hpv infections clear within 1-2 years.

Correct. I would assume however that a wart would stop growing after a while. Any insight on my updated description veryworried?? Sorry to be a bother im just trying to decide whether i should go to the derma tomorrow or not.
Right ok so a wart that is untreated or not ripped off can carry on growing?

No thats not what i said. After it has been treated, or ripped off in your case it can take a week or up to a month to grow back. Thats what 2 very experienced dermatologists have told me. One of the 2 was in fact an STD specialist in nyc and she claims to have seen, diagnosed and treated 1000's of warts and that is her judgment. The other doc is just a great and very knowledgable derma. These kind of doctors know more about warts then anyone else you will ask.
So when a wart starts its growth (which could be in a few day after contact to several months) it will grow and reach its limit within a week ? maybe a month tops ?
Yes it would have. Ive been to 2 dermas in the past regarding warts and one said itll grow back within the week and the other said itll grow back within the month so ur good. That dosnt help answer my question tho. Hoefully someone can shed some more insight on my issue.
Good question about growing time scale. I noticed something that was under my foreskin that looked like a small spot/possible sore. I left it for the GUM clinic to check. He said it was nothing to be worried about and that it was not herpes at all. So I picked it off which was quite easy. This was 7 weeks ago now. I look at it daily and see that it is kind of round and colourless in that same place. To the naked eye nobody would notice anything but if I press underneath it the mark shows up to me, even though it is so small and doesn't seem to be raised.
Question is, if this was a wart? would it of grown by now (7 weeks)

Thank you for answering me i do appreciate that alot. For the 10 day rule what i meant was would u think that within 10 days there would have been some obvious growth in the wart? I would at least assume it would be bigger after 10 days. For alittle more description, the bump is smooth when rubbed up and down with my finger (completely smooth). When i feel the bump from left to right i do feel alittle something, more so when i wet the skin and then rub it, but again only from side to side, up and down is totally smooth. Any thoughts? U think i should go into see my derma?

Will answer your last question first. For 90% of all people who are diagnosed with HPV, the virus goes dormant within 6-24 months. It never leaves the body. No one knows who is in this 90%. Most people are not infectious after 6-24 months but this doesn't mean that some day (years or decades later), you won't become infectious (wart) again. Nor will you be able to tell if it is a new infection or a recurrence of an old infection unless the strain is identical.
Most warts do grow and then stop growing. Never heard the ten day rule.
There is no one size fits all rule with HPV. There are statistical probabilities but some people are exceptions. If you have smooth skin, you should not consider yourself to be infectious at this time, but getting HPV is inevitable for most sexually active people who have had 4 or more partners in their lives.
