Sex and HPV warts

So here's the deal, I got HPV-genital warts about 6 months ago, and since about 8 months ago I have only had sex with my boyfriend. I know very well that it was not necessarily him, but IF it was him that gave it to me, will it get worse by having sex with him? I'm thinking of doing cryo because the warts are so persistent, but I'm nervous that if we have sex after I'm cleared up that they will reappear as a result of being exposed to them from him?
This is all hypothetical, but does anyone know what triggers reappearances? and how long they can go on for?

-You can be sure he has it. He may or may not ever show warts.
-Some doctors would recommend you not have sex while warts are present. Get them treated if you haven't yet.
-Your warts may or may not reappear. There's nothing to do but wait after they've been removed. Most low risk (wart causing) HPV strains clear rapidly, within 6-18 months on average. However, you're both now infected. You can't catch them from him ever again, and he can't from you. You actually can't EVER get the same strain ever again from anyone after your infection clears. You will be immune to it.
-Your warts should not get worse by having sex with him. However, many women note a discomfort or pain while having sex with warts present.
