Symtom of HPV or possible herpes?

Hi, I'm 19 and I was diagnosed with HPV a few months ago. My warts are still present and I am treating them with Warticon cream but for the past few weeks I've been feeling a tingling sensation on the outer lips of my vagina. This started before I started using the cream so it's not a symptom of that. I was just wondering if this is normal for someone who has HPV? I'm aware that tingling is a symptom of herpes and I'm worried that I might have that too.

Thanks.

I was only diagnosed at a glance, so I won't really find out if I have HPV until february. I went and got a second opinion already and then I got the Warticon cream. I am going to go back in 6 weeks anyway, all the warts are gone apart from two very tiny ones.

Thanks so much.

I am guessing you are from the UK. In the UK the gum clinics give out Warticon to use for 6 weeks and then you go back and they reassess. If the Warticon has worked for some but not for all then they usually use acid or freeze them off then use the Warticon after it has healed. I would continue to use the Warticon and then go back after 6 weeks like previously stated, but i have found freezing works best for more paitents.

Tingling is not a sign of herpes according to the docotors on this websites particuarly if it is generalised. If the tingling goes on for more than a week without any noticable changes then i would not worry, i had a herpes scare with tingling and it came to nothing. You become alot more aware of what is going on down there when you first get warts or anything similer.

Hope this helps

How were you diagnosed... at glance or did they do a biopsy? If I were you I would go and get a second opinon and get it biopsied. Usually when your diagnosed with HPV you get treated immediateley... your doctor shouldn't have let you roam around for months now with warts still present. Never heard of tingling involved but I would certainly go and see another doctor.
