Hello and thanks for your replies. The bump on the tip of my tongue had gone down and disappeared about a week later. Although I think I still see some sort of flat patch where it was. It's not raised or discolored. I have to look really close to see it. Not sure if it's anything. I can't feel anything.
I do have another problem tho which started this whole mess I'm in.
Early Sept I felt a tiny hard bump on the roof of my mouth. End of Sept I got sick with what my Dr said was viral pharyngitis. At the peak of being sick (first day or two) I felt the bump grow or spread. During this time I had chapped lips, dry mouth and a white tongue. I got over the pharyngitis. I still have chapped lips, dry mouth and a white tongue. White tongue is not thrush. So this bump is still on the roof of my mouth. It's flat, kinda white and feels a little bumpy. I fear it's a wart. I'm sure it's a wart in my mind. Any advice or idea? I see the oral surgeon Jan 7. Thx

It looks like a wart (a growth) and can be white or skin colored. It can be a non-cancerous growth. I don't see the point in waiting a month. The sooner it is off, the quicker you recover.
Hello,
Warts can occur on tongue and is a highly infectious one that can be transmitted through kissing, or by oral and genital contact. Difficulty in eating is treated by the doctor by application of antiviral creams. The discomfort is relieved through pain medications. Topical anesthetic or topical analgesic is applied. Then antiviral drugs can be used.
